Founded by our artistic director and lead teacher, Anastasia Loskutov, Orillia Ballet Academy is committed to offering the highest quality of dance education. In addition to our regular classes, we offer special programs and workshops, performance opportunities, and masterclasses with guest teachers to enrich our students' learning experience. Ms. Anastasia Loskutov

Anastasia Loskutov began her dance journey at the age of 9, training at Victoria Ballet Academy in Vaughan, Ontario, under the guidance of Victoria Mironova and Elena Dmitrieva, former soloists of the Mikhailovsky and Mariinsky theatres. Graduating at the top of her class at 16, Anastasia earned her "Artiste de Ballet" diploma, honing her skills in various styles, including ballet, contemporary, character, and pas de deux.
In 2011, Anastasia was selected to join the prestigious Boston Ballet School's trainee program for the 2011-2012 season. There, she had the opportunity to dance alongside second company and company members. In 2012, she continued her education at the renowned Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia, training under Marina Vasilieva and other world-class educators.
From 2013 to 2016, Anastasia worked as a company member of the USA's Columbia Classical Ballet company, expanding her repertoire with corps de ballet and soloist roles in iconic ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Nutcracker, and La Bayadere, among others.
In 2016, Anastasia returned to Toronto to complete her university education at York University, focusing on her career as a dance teacher with Victoria Ballet Academy. She continued to perform as a guest principal dancer for Victoria Ballet Company and as a guest company dancer for Moonlight Ballet Toronto.
With 14 years of ballet teaching experience across various age groups, Anastasia has achieved remarkable accolades. She secured first place in the Ukrainian National Ballet Competition twice (in 2006 and 2011) and reached the semi-finals of the Beijing International Ballet Invitational in 2010.
Anastasia is thrilled to share her wealth of ballet knowledge and expertise with dancers and enthusiasts in Orillia and the surrounding areas!

Serena Ruscitti Robinson is a passionate performer and teacher who is dedicated to fostering a love of dance technique and performance in her students.
Serena began her dance training at the age of 4 and has since trained with professional dancers in a variety of different dance styles across Southern Ontario. As a young dancer Serena's primary focus was on the training of her Vaganova Ballet technique, She went on to complete all of the "Society of Classical Ballet Vaganova Method" exams and even received a "Student Teacher in Training" certification at the age of 16. She has also completed her "Acrobatic Arts Module 1 Certification" and is looking to increase her certifications in the near future. Since 2018 Serena has been teaching in dance studios across the province, providing both recreational and competitive classes to students of varying ages and skill levels.
Serena also developed a love for theatre and completed her post secondary education at St. Clair College in Windsor Ontario, in the schools Musical Theatre Performance Program. During this time she continued her dance training with extra curricular dance classes as well as acting as a choreographer, dance captain and performer in her required school productions. Serena believes that having a knowledge of music composition and acting techniques helps to elevate a dancer's ability to perform and is happy that she is able to teach these principals along with their dance education.
